these kate spade ones would be a-mazing. and they're hugely on sale. i can also think of about 100 other occasions you might need these for. p.s. was in nordstrom this weekend & got these shoes -- looks like nude shoes are in & i think they're going to be well worn this spring & summer. i'm not a big shoe person (ryan has more pairs than i do), but the ones i do pick, i love. p.s.s. here are my wedding shoes (which i adore & still wear!)

new fav.

i got this candle during a ridiculous post-holiday sale at restoration hardware and it's my new fav. first of all, the box it came in is a total keeper. secondly, maybe i'm the last one to get the memo, but it has a wooden wick, so it's sounds like a fireplace crackling, which is awesome. & it smells wonderful. it's the perfect thing to get me through these dog days of winter. what are you loving right now? any secrets to making it through january? xo

i've loved eloise my whole life. and i can't believe no one told me about the world of eloise at the newly renovated plaza hotel. it will be the first place i go the next time i'm in nyc! p.s. eloise at christmas

little pick me up.

this week i've flown 6 times for work -- as you're running between layovers and in airports at absurd hours, it can be tough. i've shared my favorite travel secrets, but i forgot one: small pick me ups. this week, for me, it was a little bottle of l'occitane hand lotion. traveling is dehydrating & winter is worse -- the combo is brutal. i haven't found better hand lotion (my amazing grandmother first introduced me to it) and boy was it nice this week. tucked in my purse, it was a little bit of luxury.

now, i'm ready for a quiet weekend at home with my hubby, what are you up to? one week til christmas eve!!

less and less i'm using a paper calendar (which makes me sort of sad actually) but i LOVE the idea of a perpetual calendar where you can remember all the important dates -- birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, reunions -- and i just love, love, love this one. my friend robin has one & she is SO good at remembering all those important days. happy monday! xo

the very first time i was ever in charlottesville, i wandered into o'suzannah. i'd like to tell you i went to uva because it's an amazing university, with a deep sense of history & tradition -- and that's a bit true, but i also went to uva because of o'suzannah. i LOVE this store. i love the books & the cards & the details for your home & the way you can literally get lost in each display (or end up reading books -- see above!). it is completely charming. and ... they have a blog! xo

we went to this really great restaurant this week and i saw these posters -- i came home and was sooo excited to see you can buy them! this is my favorite, but the whole set is awesome. they look great in a simple black frame. plus, can you imagine a better bit of wisdom as you walk out the door?
