i rubbed the president's head

the white house released photos of president obama's first year in office-- how gosh darn cute is this little kid? the caption says he and the president had just had haircuts and he wanted to see if the president's felt like his. i love how kids think. check out the rest of the photos here.

do you miss calvin and hobbes as much as i do? i decided today was the day to pull out the classic "lucky rocketship underpants" -- hope it makes your tuesday a little brighter!

the only tv i watch

thanks to my husband i now have seen more movies in the three years i've known him than i have in the rest of my life combined (which i really do love) -- but i remain a lifetime three tv show person. first it was dawson's creek (you know you loved it too), then it was west wing and now, (truth be told my favorite of the three), it's brothers and sisters. the dialogue is simply amazing. well... just check it out sunday nights (tonight! soon!) 10 eastern/ 9 central

so stinking glad you are here! not sure what's to come, but it's bound to include some good books, very creative ideas we will all wish we thought of, cute babies, gorgeous weddings, hot drinks (my husband thinks mine have to be at lava temperatures for me to enjoy them) and other things i think you might like. there are so many great blogs out there i've loved reading. it's time to give something back... so, as sinatra would say, "the best is yet to come."
