i am so excited for this weekend! and these four images are exactly what i'm excited about: time with loved ones (the navy gave me my husband back for the whole weekend AND my MOH and her boyfriend are coming to visit!); time outdoors; really good food; and being so grateful we live in this nation. ooo i can hardly wait! will be taking lots of photos and have some really fun posts for next week! in the meantime, i'd love to know what your plans are for the holiday weekend! any fun family traditions around the 4th?

this weekend i'm headed to a place i think might even be as beautiful as this photo. sadly, i'll never look as glamorous as this lady :) i will get to celebrate a sweet friend who is getting married soon with some really neat girls! lots more on monday. in the meantime, here are some wonderful links for you:

it's here! i would love to go to this garden party via sfgirlbythebay. can't wait to hang out with the husband all weekend. we're having friends over for dinner tonight and then keeping it pretty low key. definitely heading to see this movie, but i already told you we have low standards, right? :) hope you have a wonderful one!

hey sweet readers, so i'm signing off a little early for a much needed long weekend & boy is it going to be fun! my sweet friend, kat, arrives late tonight to spend the day with us tomorrow. it's a big day as ryan is being promoted to lieutenant jg!! then, sex & the city 2 (can't. wait. i found a dress a lot like this at target to wear!) saturday, my maid of honor for life arrives. excited for lots of beach time. long meals. a trip to my favorite p'cola store. & lots of nothing.

earlier this week i told you i was trying a few recipes from green kitchen stories. oh my goodness. they're two of my favorite things we've ever made. first up, this yoga pot was dinner last night (with some homemade cornbread) and we couldn't get over how good it was. (and don't you love the name?!) and this coconut coffee shake is my new FAVORITE afternoon snack.

alas, the weekend is here! what are you up to? we have no big plans (shhh don't tell anyone, especially mary & ryan or they will plan something!). i'm excited to sleep in, get some solid time with my husband, cook some good food, go to church, finally try out my christmas present and have at least one or two popsicles. i love this photo and this is my favorite popsicle ever.

happy friday! boy, this week has been busy! that said, the navy gave us a wonderful surprise and ryan doesn't have to do a night flight tonight... so, we're thinking date night instead! tomorrow we're taking a really fun road trip with dear friends (will tell you all about it next week!) and sunday we'll go to our wonderful church and have a little sabbath (by the way, i'm so excited to read this book)

i am SO excited for this weekend! tomorrow we're taking a day trip to seaside, a great spot only an hour away -- will give you a full report next week. we'll be back in time to watch butler win tomorrow night!!

easter sunday, church and then nursery time with one year olds at liberty north church (so, so wonderful). then we're going to dye eggs (going to try this!) and hide eggs with candy for one another to find. what are you up to this weekend?

tonight we're having some friends over to cook out and watch the ncaa tournament (i looovvee march madness). i'm also really excited to go to the hockey game tomorrow night with ryan's squadron (which got me thinking about mighty ducks, such a classic!) and enjoy the spring sunshine.
