date night.

one of our favorite mid-week things is to go to the movies. last night, the navy kindly gave us some time together (thank you!!) and we went to see date night. oh. my. goodness. let's just say i was laughing so hard at points i was slapping ryan's leg. and definitely stay for the out-takes. best part.

new etsy crush.

thanks to cakies, i just discovered this amazing etsy shop, mummysam. there's something simple and so, so unique about this that i just love. and really, have you ever seen cooler tape? i think this print would be awesome in a guest room!

another cake.

if you've been reading t&f for a while you know i love non-birthday cakes. a dear friend getting home from afghanistan was more than reason to make a cake. i love icing pens to say just what you want to!

what a view.

this weekend, i had the chance to go to nyc. friday afternoon i arrived by train and needed to get a little work done. my sweet cousin let me use her apartment -- incredibly generous, until i saw the view. how am i supposed to get anything done when this is the view from her bed?! :) lots more nyc photos soon -- was an amazing weekend! what were you up to?

so, i started this week in lovely p'cola, have been in dc the past few days, am on a train to nyc this afternoon (i love this train) for some awesome work with michael j. fox foundation and to hang out with my cousin (who took these amazing photos!) so excited!

sunday morning, i'll take the train back to dc because my parents are in town hanging out with my bro and we have lots of birthdays and mother's day to celebrate! that night, i'll fly back to p'cola.

my favorite honeymoon dinner.

we kept hearing the same thing in st. lucia. "you have to go to rainforest hideaway." so, for our big dinner out, we went! there it is from the dock where we were dropped off. pretty soon a little boat came to take us over...
