ellie meets her great grandparents.

ellie had a very big weekend -- not only did she take her first flight, (she was a total champ, funny story about her silly parents in an upcoming post though...) -- but she met three of her great grandparents!! i've been incredibly blessed to have such amazing grandparents in my life & it was so meaningful to introduce them to ellie. the most remarkable thing was that my squirmy, always on the move three month old was so calm with them. she snuggled up in their arms and gave out smiles so generously. it seemed like she knew how important the moment was. it was so good to be back in indiana with four generations of my family!

top five photos are with my dad's wonderful mom; bottom eight are with my mom's incredible parents. it was especially neat to take a photo with my mom, gigi, & ellie -- four generations of women! couldn't be more grateful to ryan for being the photographer behind all of these photos -- we'll all cherish them for many years to come.

now we're back in virginia & ellie & i have called in sick today. we're both fighting off a cold, so we're curled up on the couch with lots of old movies on netflix + tea for me; and naps in mama's arms + silly faces for ellie. hoping to be feeling lots better tomorrow! xo
