new mama style.

despite being tired a lot of the time, i've found it really important to shower every day (no matter what that takes) & when a miracle strikes, manage to get my hair dried, put on some make up & real clothes. one such day was last saturday & my sweet husband took these photos of me.

let's just say i am sooooo awkward in front of the camera. it took about 40 photos to get these three (& in twenty of the outtakes, i'm sticking my tongue out at him, trying to shake the awkwardness...). dress & jean jacket are from old navy of all places! i love these maxi dresses, especially with e, because they make nursing oh so easy & are so comfy. sunglasses are ray ban (my push present from ryan!).

one last quick story: the other weekend, ryan & I were getting our summer clothes down from the attic (virginia decided 80 degrees was a normal temp for march...) and i suddenly said, "can i still wear these?!" he responded "what do you mean?" i said, "i'm a mom now, are these clothes ok? when do i start wearing lands end, talbots and big pocket jeans?!" ryan's response: "never." it's just so weird to think i'm actually a mom and actually twenty eight -- both those things have always seemed so far off!

we love spring around our house. hope you are having a WONDERFUL day!

Love your new mama style! You look adorable. I'm sure your pre-mama summer clothes will look just as cute and appropriate :).
