north carolina baby shower!

at long last, the baby shower in north carolina! our sweet friends, sal & niko, are about to welcome a precious baby boy to the world & we just couldn't resist the chance to shower them with love. we all gathered one saturday to share some delicious eats, play a really fun game (parents of the mom and dad-to-be had answered questions ahead of time like sally & niko's birth weight? first word? first nickname? and we all had to guess the answers!), and shower the baby with gifts & books (we all brought our favorite book to fill out cricket's library!)

the baby's real name will be revealed when he arrives, but they've called the baby "cricket" throughout the pregnancy, which is so adorable. some of my favorite details included the hand painted "cricket" sign & photos of sal & niko from when they were babies hung with ribbon. i especially love the photo with glasses of niko, as he quipped, "i've never been smarter." also loved the boys were around for this baby shower, made it even better.

so blessed to go through life with these dear friends. can't wait to meet you cricket!!
