be happy.
there are all sorts of things making me happy these days, so to kick this week off right, i thought i'd share some:
logging time on the front porch with ryan. we love our house, our neighbors, our neighborhood & there's just something so peaceful about sitting there. especially in the early evenings, when kids on scooters or new two-wheel bikes cruise past; as our favorite dog skip endlessly chases the tennis ball; as neighbors step outside to say hello. on rainy sunday afternoons, watching the storm roll in, eating white cheddar popcorn (my latest craving!), and soaking up that time together. we haven't splurged on a porch swing yet (that will make it even better!), but the chairs we've pulled out there are just fine.
feeling well enough to get back to some of my favorite staples -- had greek yogurt & honey for the first time in two months and almost did back flips. thought i knew how much i'd missed it, but really had no idea until the first bite.
having energy to clean again. i'm such a nerd, but i LOVE cleaning our house. i love having things in their place, making this place warm & inviting. slowly but surely, i'm getting my energy back. each load of laundry feels like a huge accomplishment (& i even ask ryan for a gold star). next goal, being in the kitchen for more than two minutes!
getting beyond excited for weddings this summer & fall. nothing better than seeing people you love oh so much make those vows.
booked vacation for july!! we haven't had a real vacation since our honeymoon & we're both feeling it. original plans for may came & went as i wasn't really getting out of bed that month. i think a part of us felt like the window for vaca had gone away. we wiggled our schedules to find a week & are beyond excited. countdown is on.
and of course this baby on the way, who we fall more in love with every day.

AAAAW. Your neighbors love you guys too. So glad you're here! We need to get together soon so our guys can formally meet. It seems silly that they haven't. I guess working odd schedules just isn't working in their favor.
