love & other drugs.

we recently picked this for our movie night & really loved it. i thought the previews made it seem like all comedy, but there was a much deeper plot i really appreciated. have you seen it?

p.s. i recently heard someone say anne hathaway might be the audrey hepburn of our generation -- the more i think about it, the more i think it might be true!

it's good but it totally makes me wonder what changed her attitude to show her boobs in this movie when she turned Knocked Up down because it showed someone else's vagina.
but i thought she did a great job in the movie.
it was very heartfelt :)

I've not seen this yet, but it is on my very long list. I adore both Audrey Hepburn and Anne Hathaway, so I totally get the comparison. I think Hathaway is pretty versatile, and in some ways the two sort of resemble each other. Hmmmm.

I'll have to bump this up on my list. I think I watched the last 30 Rock episode that Netflix has available, so I no longer have my go-to! Thanks for the recommendation, Mary.

Random side note: A guy that went to school with my brother at Notre Dame wrote the book that this movie was based after! Oh and another random side note: I passed Jake Gyllenhaal outside of Cafe du Monde in New Orleans Friday night!! He is just as beautiful in person :)

I watched this movie in a Paris movie theater in January! My feet were about to fall off after a full day of walking and it was raining, so my roommate and I decided to take a break. There were French subtitles for the French speakers, but I think some of the jokes were lost in translation b/c my roommate and I would crack up at certain parts and the rest of the theater was dead silent... :)
