minneapolis.

sometimes i'm really lucky & for work i get to go someplace i've never been. recently, i had the chance to go to minneapolis & LOVED it! these are real photos out my hotel window (?!) it is such an awesome midwestern city. plus, target is headquartered there & i love target. hey minneapolis readers, i love your hometown! what underrated city have you loved visiting?

I love Minneapolis! The Midwest is so often underrated, and that includes my city, Indianapolis. We are overlooked because of our proximity to Chicago, but Indy is great! The arts are really starting to thrive, and the city is making big cultural leaps. Mid-size cities are so great because of the big city feel mixed with Midwestern charm and friendliness. This is kind of my soapbox, so I could go on and on, but I'll spare you (unless you wanna hear, and then I'll write a dissertation on it!). :)

I'm from the Twin Cities, I'm so glad you enjoyed your time there! It was a wonderful place to grow up, and it's a great place to visit too. It's so often overlooked because of the cold winters, but you just can't beat a little "Minnesota nice"!

I went to school right across the river in St. Paul, absolutely love the Twin Cities and would love to live there again someday. The only downside is those winter days where you'll go a week without breaking 0 degrees and you pray every morning that your car will decide to start. =)

Thanks for loving Minneapolis as much as we do! I live an hour and a half away and it is always so incredible to go there. My sister and her family lives in one of the burbs so I'm always eager for a chance to drive up and visit her. The skyline is simply beautiful at night!

My husband's from Minneapolis so we get up there quite a bit - glad you loved it! I have to say another midwest city, Kansas City, is a bit underrated as well - amazing food, great hotels, shopping (and cheap!) but somewhat under the radar.

Also, I must plug my current stomping grounds, Raleigh/Durham, NC. There's no place like it and I'm utterly in love with this part of the country!

I absolutely love Minneapolis but I definitely have to put in my two cents for my favorite Midwestern city, Madison, Wisconsin! Badger game days, the Farmer's Market, Concerts on the Square, I could go on and on about why I love Madison. There is just something about the Midwest that you can't find anywhere else...Glad you enjoyed it!
