unexpected road trip.

 

 

 

 

so, as i mentioned, there was quite a turn after our christmas in indiana -- and i imagine a lot of you were affected by the same thing. with all the snow in the northeast, american airlines cancelled our flight on the 28th and told us they couldn't reschedule us until the 3d of january! we said no thank you and opted to road trip from indiana to virginia. it was quite an adventure. highlights were the beautiful skies you see in these photos; the hilarious truck with DEBT spelled out as his kids names (Debby, Eric, Bob & Tammy); an amazing dinner in charleston, west virginia at bluegrass kitchen; and a quick stop in my favorite place on earth, c'ville, virginia.

all in all, given our marathon christmas, this road trip gave us both terrible colds. we bunkered down with dear friends in norfolk for a few days and then made our last adventure (in hindsight, this christmas looks positively crazy :) much more soon!
