new york christmas.

have you seen the movie four christmases? if so, these next few posts are going to be really familiar! first, we headed to new york and connecticut to see ryan's big family and had an amazing time. before i met ryan, i hadn't spent any time in the suburbs of nyc, and i still can't get over how BEAUTIFUL it is! he has aunts, uncles, parents, sisters in rye, stamford, mt. kisco, darien, greenwich and so we were all over the place! i'll try to narrate the photos from top to bottom:

we totally lucked out on rental cars and got a BRAND new jeep cherokee, which was so fun. we're considering official sponsorship from starbucks for the holidays given how crucial it was to getting through this marathon christmas!

the next series of photos are at ryan's dads gorgeous house.

we had dinner with his mom and i couldn't get over how cute those christmas trees on sailboats were.

we had a fun outing to see this movie at this incredible theater & of course got some popcorn.

at dinner with his dad, ryan took this amazing photo of the moon and a tree all decked out. i love all the details of outdoor decorations like this hole punched can.

ryan's mom's family have two very secret recipes for these amazing christmas cookies. we had a really wonderful time with them on christmas eve.

my sweet husband with his niece and cousin.

this absolutely precious old church where we went for a candle light christmas eve service.

up next, our 3:30 a.m. wake up call on christmas morning to catch our flight to indiana!

What beautiful Christmas photos! If you can believe it, I was at the Jacob Burns Theater a few days after you to see the same phenomenal movie. Looking through your pictures I was like ooh, Pleasantville! And you were in Mt. Kisco too? My grandparents live there. Such cute towns in Westchester, wouldn't you say? :)

That is such an adorable little church--like one you'd see in a movie!

Sounds like you had a splendid Christmas break...how could you not, with that cup of whipped cream smiling at you!? :)

Sounds like a wonderful Christmas, Mary! We saw the same movie at an old theater over new years and it was great.
