navy wife guide: pensacola see & do.
a few weeks ago, i did the pensacola eats guide and promised you a guide of things to see & do, well, here it is! five years ago, i had never heard of pensacola and now i'm in love with this florida town. we've discovered so many fun things, so here goes! first up, the above photo is taken at the pensacola fair, held every october. as you can see, it has just about everything -- including great fair food and awesome rides. we wandered around for hours.

next up, my absolute favorite store in p'cola: duh. you won't believe it. there are three buildings and a warehouse -- talk about house dreaming!! their gardening section is just as cool. and, be sure to walk down the street to scout -- a boutique opened by a woman who worked in nyc in fashion for years!

i've mentioned a few times, ryan & i just love going to the movies. our favorite spot in the rave motion pictures on bayou. many a date nights have been dinner at mellow mushroom and a movie here.

to state the obvious, the beach is one of the best parts about living here (having grown up in indiana, it NEVER gets old). the three we went to the most were p'cola (classic, great night life and lots of good restaurants); fort pickens (a national park and you have to pay for a pass, but gorgeous and worth it); and perdido (probably our favorite and great if you're at NAS pensacola)

right on seville square square in downtown pensacola is the lee house bed & breakfast. my parents have stayed their a few times and it is perfect in location and decor!

if you love yoga like i do, you definitely want to get to know breathe yoga studio. it has been one of the best parts of p'cola, great classes and really affordable prices -- don't miss the chance to take a class with divya, she's amazing!

couldn't resist putting in my favorite photo of us in p'cola, this was last fall, a week before our wedding at the lonestar concert on base. we'll miss you p'cola!
