heaven on earth.

for labor day weekend we snuck away to indiana, my home state, and specifically to culver, which in my mind is heaven on earth. the drive from naptown there (especially when you take back roads and the blue skies are breathtaking) is pretty special and once you're there, well, these photos (i took them with a normal camera -- it really is this beautiful!) begin to tell the story. it was a true fall weekend, we were bundled up in jeans and sweaters and had nothing to do but sleep in, spend time with family, and eat wonderful meals. what'd you do for the long weekend?

Those photos are absolutely gorgeous!! I've never been to the Midwest, but will put Indiana on my list of places to see. Already sweater weather there? It's hot and humid down here in sunny...er... rainy (today, per TS Hermine) South Texas!!
